Inspired by my first summer in the USA while I working as an intern on Nantucket Island in the 1990s. It was my inaugural July fourth celebration and I remember vividly everything being red, white and blue. So many of the beautiful homes were traditionally decorated and striped wallpaper and awnings stick in my memories.
